Why Replace The Motor Alone
The evaporator fan only moves air, it is not a heated part. If the blade still spins free by hand and the wiring reads powered at the plug, the motor winding has opened and you do not need a new control board or defrost heater. Reusing your old fan blade and mounting grommets keeps the repair under one simple swap.
Install Notes

Unplug the refrigerator before removing the freezer back panel, live 115V at the connector will arc

Take a photo of the old motor orientation and blade position before removal

Release the 3 pin connector, remove two mounting screws, lift the old motor out

Press the old fan blade onto the new 1/8 inch shaft, seat grommets, secure screws, reconnect plug

Spin the blade by hand to confirm clearance against the housing, then restore power and confirm it starts when the door switch is held
