This money saving combo includes one 3387134 dryer cycling thermostat and one 3392519 dryer thermal fuse. Both are direct replacement parts for Whirlpool built electric and gas dryers. The cycling thermostat controls drum temperature by switching the heater on and off, while the thermal fuse is a one time safety device that cuts all power if the dryer overheats. Together they solve the most common Whirlpool family dryer no heat and overheating complaints without calling a repair tech.

What You Get

  • 1 x 3387134 Dryer Cycling Thermostat rated L155-25, opens at 155 degrees Fahrenheit, closes around 130 degrees Fahrenheit

  • 1 x 3392519 Dryer Thermal Fuse non resettable, trips at 196 degrees Fahrenheit

  • Both parts meet OEM style specifications and use standard push on spade terminals

  • No special tools required beyond a 1/4 inch nut driver and multimeter for testing

Common Symptoms This Combo Fixes

  • Dryer will not start

  • No heat or low heat

  • Heater stays on and clothes scorch

  • Dryer shuts off early in the cycle

  • Takes two or three cycles to dry a load

  • Auto dry timer never advances

  • Cabinet runs hot or smells like burning lint

Installation Note

Always unplug the dryer before opening the panel. Test the old thermostat for room temperature continuity and the old fuse for continuity before assuming which one failed. A blown 3392519 thermal fuse almost always means restricted airflow, so clean the lint screen, transition duct, and exterior vent and check the blower wheel before power is restored. If the high limit thermostat 3977767 or heating element 279838 also looks damaged, replace them in the same visit.

Fitment Reminder

Whirlpool platform dryers share part numbers across many badge brands, but model year and gas versus electric build still matter. Match your original stamped part number or send us your full dryer model tag and we will confirm fit before shipment.
